My wife is my favorite person in the whole world. She’s been encouraging me with the gospel so much lately. Feeling sick, exhausted, and down, she came in and spoke the greatest word of gospel hope for me right now. She turned my worry about “tomorrow” into something better then my greatest performance could ever be: the finished work of Jesus for me (Nick). No matter what happens this morning, no matter how bad or good, how perfect or imperfect, today is going to be an A+ because of Jesus ✝️. How freeing is that? Love you, G, and I love Jesus more today because of you.
Proud of my brother, Adam. Today, he sustained his licensure and ordination exams in the South Coast Presbytery and formally accepted the call to serve as associate pastor at @redemptionchurchsd. Tomorrow (ok a metaphorical “tomorrow”—technically not until February. Enjoy 5 days off 😉), we start serving together at the same church! Very humbled and thankful to have such a gifted and godly co-laborer joining Redemption’s leadership team. Congratulations!
Finally getting around to posting this one. Last week our oldest lit the first candle, now for the second week of Advent our middle did. The prophet Micah said the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem—a better King David is coming. The Light of the world is coming. #faith #Advent
‪Looking forward to gifting my kids with “Goodbye to Goodbyes” by @laurenchandler this year. Apart from the resurrection of Jesus, it’s always going to be a blue Christmas. Excited to give them hope as we read this before bedtime. 👍 📚
